Fostering Community Connections

In 2000, Kristy, the owner of Flowers By Coley San Jose, launched her first floral and wedding events business from her home. By 2007, she opened her first brick-and-mortar location, allowing her to expand her offerings of high-end floral arrangements and event designs. In 2013, Kristy relocated her flagship store to San Diego's Kearny Mesa neighborhood, and just a year later, she expanded further by opening a retail storefront at a boutique mall in Orange County.

Since 1998, owner Alex has worn many hats in the floral industry, gaining experience in nearly every role and going above and beyond to ensure the success of the business. He teamed up with Kristy in 2009 and has been a driving force behind its continued growth ever since.

In August 2020, Kristy and Alex expanded their business by opening their third and fourth locations, bringing their signature top-quality floral designs and event services to Las Vegas and Denver. By 2022, they added a fifth shop in Scottsdale, followed by a sixth location in San Francisco in 2023 and a seventh in the Coachella Valley in 2024. In February 2025, Flowers By Coley San Jose became the latest addition to their growing floral family, allowing them to serve the vibrant communities of the South Bay.

Kristy has devoted much of her career to supporting non-profit organizations and charitable causes, focusing on improving the lives of abused youth and foster children. She is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the San Diego Chapter of the National Association for Catering & Events, Executive Women's International, Thursday Club Juniors, and the San Diego Association of Bridal Consultants.
